Playas del Coco is one of Costa Rica's best-known Pacific dive destinations. Marea Alta offers local dive trips and certification experiences for complete beginners through advanced divers.
Our trips are private and intentionally small. This creates a more comfortable, flexible, and safety-conscious experience, with more direct guidance before, during, and after each dive.

To provide the most personalized, comfortable, and safe experience possible, local dive trips are generally limited to four divers plus guides.
For newer divers and certification experiences, two divers is often recommended. This gives each diver more time, attention, and space to build confidence.
Whether you reserve a trip by yourself or with a few friends, we do not add unrelated divers to your private booking. Larger groups can be discussed directly.

Meet Rolbin Garcia
Born and raised in Playas del Coco, Rolbin spent much of his childhood dreaming of becoming an astronaut. With no space program in his homeland and the ocean at his front door, he decided to become an aquanaut instead.
Years of training and experience have taken his underwater work around Costa Rica, including the world-renowned Cocos Island. His passion for the ocean, local knowledge, and calm guidance shape every Marea Alta dive experience.
